We hope you were able to make it to the Market this past Sunday. The Corrales Growers’ Market hosted Shelley Morningsong and Fabian Fontenelle, two world-renown performers. In 2011, Morningsong’s album “Full Circle” received “Record of the Year” by the Native American Music Awards. Fantenelle is an original member of the American Indian Dance Theatre, and provided master-work choreography and performances with two-time Grammy Award Winning artist Robert Mirabal on tour in “Music from a Painted Cave”, also featured on PBS television program “Great Performances”. Their performance was amazing, and everyone at the market stopped to watch. An album of the Market can be found here. Next week, we will have Sol Calypso with us. Opening Day at the Market

The first market of Season 10 was a great success. We had 21 vendors and 840 customers this morning and everyone enjoyed the lively music provided by the Squash Blossom Boys. The usual items were available for customers; salad greens, delicious bread and preserves, but the real show-stoppers were the strawberries and asparagus! We are likely to see these items at the market next week, and we hope to see you there as well — May 5th, 9AM-12PM, see you then!
